சில விஷயங்கள் நம் மனதை பாதித்துவிடும் அதில் இதுவும் ஒன்று

எச்.ஐ.வி., எய்ட்ஸ் பாதிப்புக்குள்ளான 1000 குழந்தைகளை தத்தெடுக்கவிருப்பதாக நடிகர் கமல் ஹாசன் கூறினார்.

இன்று உலக எய்ட்ஸ் தினம். உலக அளவில் எய்ட்ஸால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டோரில் குழந்தைகள் அதிக அளவில் உள்ளனர். அவர்களுக்குத்தான் எச்.ஐ.வி. கிருமி பாதிப்பு வெகு சுலபமாக நடக்கிறது.

தமிழகத்தில் 2,651 குழந்தைகள் இந்த ஆண்டு புதிதாக எச்ஐவி தாக்குதலுக்கு இலக்காகி உள்ளனர். இப்படிப்பட்ட குழந்தைகள் சமுதாயத்தால் புறக்கணிக்கப்படும் நிலை உள்ளது.

இந்த நிலையில், எச்ஐவி, எய்ட்ஸால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட குழந்தைகளுக்கு ஆதரவாக பெற்றால்தான் பிள்ளையா? என்ற ஒரு மாத கால பிரசார இயக்கத்தை `பாபுலேஷன் சர்வீசஸ் இன்டர்நேஷனல் என்ற அரசு சார்பற்ற அமைப்பும், ஹலோ எப்.எம். நிறுவனமும் இணைந்து இன்று தொடங்குகின்றன.

இந்த ஒரு மாத காலத்தில், ஹலோ எப்.எம்.மில், எச்.ஐ.வி-எய்ட்ஸ் நோயின் தீமைகளைப் பற்றி நேயர்களுக்கு எடுத்துரைக்கப்படும். அத்துடன், எச்.ஐ.வி-எய்ட்ஸ் பாதித்த குழந்தைகளை தங்கள் குழந்தைகள் போல கருதி, உதவ முன்வருமாறு பிரசாரம் செய்யப்படும்.

இந்த பிரசார இயக்கத்துக்கு நடிகர் கமல்ஹாசன் ஆதரவு தெரிவித்துள்ளார். மேலும் எச்ஐவி- எய்ட்ஸ் பாதித்த ஆயிரம் குழந்தைகளை தத்து எடுப்பதாகவும் அறிவித்துள்ளார்.

இதுகுறித்து கமல்ஹாசன் கூறுகையில்,

குழந்தைகள்தான் நமது எதிர்காலம். ஆனால் அவர்களில் சிலர் நம்பிக்கையின்மையின் பிடியில் சிக்கி இருப்பது கவலை அளிக்கிறது. அவர்களுக்கு நம்பிக்கையையும், மகிழ்ச்சியையும் அளிப்பது நமது கடமை, பொறுப்பு.

ஆகவே, இந்த பிரசார இயக்கத்துக்கு தலைமை தாங்குவது எனக்கு ஆழ்ந்த திருப்தி அளிக்கிறது. என்னை பின்பற்றி பலரும் இந்த சேவையை செய்வார்கள் என்று நம்புகிறேன்.
